I love Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock. I miss RomComs like this!

For those who haven't heard the plot:
Left wing lawyer Lucy Kelson (Sandra Bullock) is hired by coorporate boss George Wade (Hugh Grant) to act as the top lawyer for his company. Before long, George finds that he can't live his life without consulting Lucy for absolutely everything (even if it's the middle of the night). Lucy decides that she wants to stop being a gopher and start being a lawyer again so she hands in her notice.
Will they realise just how much they mean to one another? Or will a new lawyer steal George's heart?
I love this film. Apart from Grant and Bullock, the great thing about this film is that the comedy comes from the interplay between the characters.
That said, there were a couple of things I didn't like about it:
The scene, shown in trailers, where Lucy's hair gets stuck in George's flys makes you cringe. I would advise anyone *not* to listen to the Grant/Bullock/Lawrance commentry as Bullock and Grant seem determined to stay in their respective characters despite playing themselves.
That aside the rest of the film is brilliant. The deleted scenes are good but you can see why they cut them out.

I bought this back in November and only just got round to watching it today. Surpringly my mum picked it out for our girly night in, and we both really enjoyed it. It was funnier than I find other Romantic Comedies and I do have a lot. I loved the characters and the story and thought the ending was just perfect. I have noticed that Hugh has these sort of speeches to girls near the end. I'm thinking of Notting Hill and Music and Lyrics.

This was really good and I definitely won't be waiting another 7 months before watching it again! Believe me.

5*s all the way!

Its kind of fun - especially if you don't take it too seriously - and you're in the mood for a rom com - which I happened to be. Some good scenes and well acted generally to reveal more depth of character which are in each case made quite believeable - so this is a definite plus, and makes up for the script being a little unimaginative at times

In two words... ****ing garbage. Believe it or not but I am a fan of HG, but this is just a disappointing amalgam of all his previous characters along with a dreary and uninspiring plot. Switched off half way through simply not caring how it turned out in the end.
